Hello all,
As we look to planning towards the 2026/2027 season, we want to send a huge thank you to everyone who always steps up to help out. Our club truly runs on parent power!
Running a successful gala takes a village. To be completely honest, without enough volunteers, these events simply can’t happen. We saw the sad reality of this just this week, when a gala down in Bath had to be cancelled at the very last minute because they didn’t have enough helpers for a level 3 meet. Without the numbers required, the licence is revoked and the event is then cancelled. That’s it.
Our swimmers train so hard, and the last thing we want is for them to miss out on racing. To make sure that doesn’t happen to us, we need a little bit of help from everyone to share the load.

If you’ve ever wanted to learn the ropes or get a better view of the action, there is a fantastic (and completely free!) training evening coming up on Monday:

What: A relaxed introduction to swimming officiating led by David Broome. It’s perfect for parents, beginners, or anyone who wants to learn how competitions work.

When: Monday, 13 July 2026 from 6:30pm – 8:00pm

Where: Denisons Suite, John Charles Centre for Sport, Leeds
