New Medal Design Winners Announced

First, a huge thank you to every­one who entered our design com­pe­ti­tion. With over 50 entries to review, the stan­dard was excep­tion­al­ly high, mak­ing the final selec­tion a very dif­fi­cult task for our pan­el. I’d also like to thank our judges — Chair­man Rod War­dle, Head Coach Russ Bar­ber, and the Senior Per­for­mance squad — for their time and expertise.

Because the qual­i­ty of work was so impres­sive, we have select­ed an over­all win­ner and two run­ners-up. We are excit­ed to announce that the top two designs will be man­u­fac­tured into our offi­cial new COLSC medals!

The Results:

• 1^st Place: Francesca Spald­ing (Region­al Per­for­mance) Francesca’s design, exe­cu­tion, and cre­ative process blew the judges away. This will become our pri­ma­ry medal for home galas.
• 2^nd Place: Joel Har­ris (Region­al Fast Track) Joel’s ​“fun and excit­ing” design was a huge hit and will be man­u­fac­tured as our new Devel­op­ment Gala medal.
• 3^rd Place: Har­ry Wil­son (Region­al Fast Track) The judges felt Harry’s design was ​“Leeds through and through.” This design will be turned into a cus­tom Croc charm, sold by our Sup­port­ers Committee.
